The Cinderella Fund of SF SPCA
The Bark & Whine Ball is CLAW’s single largest fundraising event for the crucial work of the SF SPCA’s Cinderella Fund, which pays for the cost of top notch medical care by SF SPCA veterinarians for the most critically ill and injured dogs and cats in the shelter. Once restored to health, these animals are placed into the loving homes they deserve by the adoption staff.
Why Your Participation MattersAnimals like Fred and Ginger, two 9-year-old Chihuahuas, were helped by the generous support of donors to the Cinderella Fund. These two best buddies came to the SF SPCA with a variety of medical issues. Fred had abnormal liver enzyme levels and a partially atrophied jaw. Ginger had hypothyroidism and severe dental issues.
The SF SPCA was able to care for them both by providing medication or treatment for all of their medical needs. Once they were feeling better, Fred and Ginger were back to their normal selves. Fred is an outgoing little guy who will always be the first to greet you; Ginger is a bit more shy, but she adores chin rubs and romps in the park.
